The name of Golden Mile was originally used to define the areas situated between Marbella and Puerto Banús, where are properties as emblematic as King Fahad of Saudi Arabia’s Palacio Mar Mar (a replica of the U.S. White House), Marbella Club and the Puente Romano, Nobu Hotel are located.
Over the time, the Golden Mile was extended to include areas closer to the mountains, such as Rocío de Nagüeles, Sierra Blanca and the Marbella Hill Club. It is considered to be one of the most valued residential areas due to as much the characteristics of their properties as to the location between the mountains and the coast which enjoys a sunny and mild microclimate with stupendous views overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
The mountain,s area
The Golden Mile area, located to the north of route N-340, is at the foot of Sierra Blanca. The AP-7 highway crosses from east to west leaving the northern side of this motorway for the Jardines Colgantes, Marbella Hill Club, Sierra Blanca, Cortijo de Nagueles, La Capellanía, Cascada de Camoján developments, and the Monte Paraíso Golf Club. To the south are the residential areas of El Capricho, La Carolina, Las Lomas de Marbella Club and Monte Paraiso, also La Dama de Noche Golf Club. In these areas we are beautiful villas on individual parcels with beautiful views to the sea, as well as apartments & townhouses are in secure communities – like for example the Mansion Club which features swimming pools, extensive gardens, gyms, saunas, a clubhouse, and surveillance that provides security for the entire complex.
Beach side
Along and near the beach, we find fantastic villas, apartments and townhouses in consolidated zones such as Casablanca, Santa Margarita, Santa Petronila, Los Verdiales, Las Torres and Puente Romana. These residential complexes are composed of apartments and penthouses with common areas equipped with gardens, pools, waterfalls, and residential parking. They are all on, or just a few meters from the beach.
In this area, Nagüeles Beach stands out. It is one of the most exclusive in the Málaga province and an ideal place for walking along its seafront promenade. Its dimensions and 1,600 meters by 40 meters, and its occupancy level is always very high. On its fine golden sands and crystal clear waters are the best Marbella hotels, restaurants and the most exclusive beach clubs including the Marbella Club, the Puente Romano Beach Hotel and there are famous restaurants
